both our dtrs played Junior Darts for NSW...the discipline (spll?) was fantastic.....two of the players male and female were sent home because of inappropriate behaviour....they were our top players, but the association wouldn't put up with it. Should be the same with ALL sports.

Rumi the swimming last year was a great example. I made a post earlier but it didnt save...that James Magnusson or whatever was a real example of arrogance.

Tis an honour to play for your country be it the olympics or cricket or whatever, you've got to give it 100% and be serious.

They take alot for granted!

My husband is a cricket and football nut... So I've been known to watch the occasional game..

I dont dislike the sport but wouldn't go out of my way to watch it..

Totally agree with Rumi about the humility.. Australian sportsmen and women have lost their way..

All after the glamour life style and pay packet but not prepared to put in the hard yards..

Our Olympic swimmers were stupid enough to believe all the media hype about them before the games..

Was almost pleased to see them get their noses rubbed in it..

It's a shame. Australian sportsmen/women have always been well respected, and rightly so, but this new generation need to learn humility and a few basic clues on how to behave. They seem to think they are infallible. Look at the Olympic swimmers? Hard lessons and all that.

Clarke said it was more than the homework thing. Doesn't seem to be any respect or discipline.

I hate cricket too, very boring to watch, but don't mind playing.

Lets hope they sort it out, the poms are laughing at us, we can't have that!!!

I am SO not going to run with that, although I could

I think we were all terrified. The school was on 300 acres and there were rumours about an old bum who lived in a cave in the bush around the cricket pitch.

management wanted input from ALL players regarding what they thought would improve the teams performance....4 of them could not be bothered so got barred from the next match....one spat the dummy and went home...watson i think.

I HATE cricket! To play and to watch!

This morning I read something about the 4 sent home and it said they hadn't been out partying or getting drunk etc. Just that they didn't complete a homework assignment. It's an international sport not a kindergarten.

Maybe more has come to light since I read it this morning?

Cricket homework lol

Post  feral on Tue Mar 12, 2013 5:52 pm

I don't follow the cricket much, find it boring to watch, but great to play.

However, I think these players that have been sent home deserved it, alot of them are playing like girls and not taking it seriously at all! They were given a task and didn't do it, yet apparently have been out partying and drinking till all hours!

Grow up, you're representing your country you damn idiots, give it 100% or get out and let someone else who is more eager and determined do it!
