Thats what i want us to get! we have a charcoal BBQ with a lid but it doesnt have any pan to catch any juice with so that wont work. i asked dad and he said maybe so i told him the meat would taste way better so maybe he will get one i hope. Very Happy

We had baked ham and green beans with bacon and baked potatos and salad and milk.

Hey Foxidrive,
Thanks about the cool way to cook bacon. Very Happy Im going to try that tomorrow!

Ok here is a Weber BBQ just like mine. It uses coals not gas.

I also have one of these suckers that uses gas so we could teach you how to cook meat on that BBQ of yours.

If your BBQ has a hood you can cook a Roast in there.

I might have to get one, one of these days. But I'm a lazy cook - see proof in previous post.

It's only thin so cooks quickly - and maybe your pan was a mite too hot.

FWIW I put a layer of bacon (say 4 rashers) on a plate and sandwiched in kitchen toweling and nuke it in the microwave on high for 1 minute. 2 minutes if you like it well done.

Then use the toweling to soak up the bacon oils, and wipe the plate, and toss that in the bin.

Before I put the bacon on I bung some toast in the toaster. Voila! Bacon on toast! My speciality.

Edit: I should add that I use shortcut bacon - that's the oval bit of the bacon with very little fat. It should work ok with regular cuts too.

I need to learn how to cook meat but i tried cooking bacon and it burned up. That stuff cooks too quick! My crepes worked and they were awesome. Very Happy I made vanilla sugar with vanilla beans last Christmas and I used that to make the crepes with. I even made them flip without using a spat and thats not easy.
i had a calzone and salad with croutons and a coke tonight.
