Mate you need to go to The Haig.

I swear I had a Scotch Fillet steak in some out of this world reduced sauce and little chips I have to say the best I have had in many years and trust me I know what I am talking about. I tasted the risotto and would have licked the plates clean and I don't even eat risotto, I do there. I tipped them well. I asked the waitress about the steak. Of course it was slow cooked over many hours and the sauce was made over days.

The Haig, go there trust me for your Italian. If you have the seared scallops don't put everything on the spoons in your mouth at once otherwise you will lose the taste of the scallop eat the scallops individually. Champagne was great too.

We used to have a really nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. It's now been replaced with another Asian place. That makes about a dozen Asian places and is partly why I don't like Asian food lol. I get to smell it morning noon and night arghhh

Might have homemade pizza tonight. Pepperoni.

I sent him a kind invitation to entertain his wife when they are in Auckland, I thought it would free him up for a little whining with his old rest home mates..
